We love to glorify God and enjoy God as part of the chief aim of humanity. We have all the typical elements of worship. We enjoy singing hymns, offering prayers of intercession, thanksgiving, confession, giving, and proclamation of the Scriptures. We love praying the liturgy of the day. Some traditions refer to liturgy as “responsive reading”. We believe in beautiful language for God and while words never suffice to describe the wonder of God’s mercy and love, we try to use language befitting of The Divine. The services are crafted in large part using liturgy from The Presbyterian Outlook. The music is traditional mainline hymns accompanied sometimes by our Allen Organ and sometimes by a grand piano, always pointing to Jesus as the object of our praise.
People are welcome to attend worship in any attire, casual or formal. Very few people aside from the pastor wear a tie or coat to worship. Several people wear shorts. The important thing is that we bring our hearts and minds to offer over to God. We do this to bring God glory and to help nourish us spiritually for the purpose of feeding others. We hope you’ll join us at 10AM on Sundays 400 Villa Road, Springfield, OH.
