Book Study
We will be doing a book study during this time slot from June 6th through the July 18. (We will not meet on July 4). The book we are reading is Breathing Underwater, Spirituality of the Twelve Steps by Father Richard Rohr.
Fr. Rohr has written many books on spirituality and meditation. Breathing Underwater explores ways to break negative patterns and experience greater internal freedom, some of the topics covered:
- Disentangle from cultural cycles of sin and emptiness.
- Discover how to get free from your personal toxic dependencies.
- Learn how the twelve-step program can supplement Christian teaching.
- Find compassion for others and yourself.
- Enjoy a deeper spiritual life, feeling certain of God’s love for you.
Cost of the book is $12; a bulk book order will be placed May 23. You may contact Diana Harrison (937-206-3167) or the church office to indicate your interest in purchasing and participating.
Sunday School Adult Forum
Fall and Winter 2023
(beginning September 10, 2023 and running through May 5, 2024, skipping December 2023 and March 2024)
Classes are the second Sundays of the month. We will study the “Belonging, Free to be Surprised by the Familiar” issue of The Presbyterian Outlook. Copies of the issue are available at no cost in the church office. Speak to Tammy 937-399-0838 to obtain your copy. Classes are immediately following 10AM morning worship service in the family room.
